Shop With The 5 N’s Philosophy

May 31, 2009

In addition to bringing your own reusable, eco-friendy grocery bags when you go shopping, here are 5 more tips to minimize your carbon footprint while shopping.

Whenever possible, try to choose products:

1. That are NEARBY , or in other words locally grown.

2. That are NATURAL and contain no pesticides and minimal processing.

3. That are NAKED with minimal or no packaging.

4. That are NUTRITIOUS.

5. That are in season, NOW.

And of course, don’t forget to bring your own reusable bags with you!  Remembering the 5 N’s is simple, easy and will go a long way in minimizing your impact on our environment while purchasing the items you and your family need every day.
