2 of 3 bird conservation bills get wide support at House hearing

Two bills aimed at protecting migratory birds were endorsed by the Obama administration and a bipartisan coalition of lawmakers at an Insular Affairs, Oceans and Wildlife Subcommittee hearing yesterday. However, the administration raised concerns about another bird conservation bill that would toughen penalties for killing migratory birds.
